Overview

Description Our client are a company who specialise in manufacturing bespoke furniture, recognised for delivering high-quality products including one off pieces. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Furniture Maker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, with varied and interesting work across a range of projects.

Location

Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary

£14.00 – £15.00 per hour

Hours

7:30am – 5pm (Mon – Thu) 7:30am – 12:30pm (Fri)

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture items from technical drawings
• Work with various materials including wood, fabrics, and leather
• Undertake additional joinery work as required
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
• Ensure all work is completed to company and client specifications, with a focus on quality
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the workshop and other departments
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Experience as a Furniture Maker in a workshop environment
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and a variety of hand tools
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of workmanship
• Flexible and adaptable to work on various types of joinery items
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
