Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our IT Department as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for a passionate technician to deliver front line IT support.

Contract type: Permanent – Full Time Support Staff – 36.5 hours all year round

Salary / Grade: NJC PT3 – PT8 (£24,796 – £27,254)

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Provide front line IT support to staff and students.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, including laptops, desktops, printers, and network devices.
  • Assist with installation and troubleshooting of software applications and digital platforms used within the school environment.
  • Implement and support cyber security measures to protect student data and school systems.
  • Document and record incidents, work orders and resolutions in the IT system.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and colleagues to plan and carry out system upgrades, migrations and improvements.
  • Provide training and support to students and teachers on technology use.

Qualifications

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current developments in digital technology systems, cyber security and digital platforms used in a school environment.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Commitment to student safety and safeguarding. Willingness to complete DBS checks and other pre-employment checks.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
