Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join a growing engineering firm specialising in the design and manufacture of screening, recycling, and material handling equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented design professional to play a key role in the development of innovative machinery used across various industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop heavy machinery using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Produce detailed technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, sales, and procurement teams
• Contribute to product improvements, innovation, and design for manufacture
• Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and compliance standards (CE/UKCA)

Essential Criteria:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes

Desirable Experience:

• Background in the recycling, screening, or heavy equipment sectors
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance standards
