COURT OF PROTECTION LAWYER – 1+ PQE • London

Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of Court of Protection (welfare) matters, providing clear legal advice, strong client care, and effective communication with vulnerable clients and stakeholders.
- Support wider community care, housing and public law work as required, including handling correspondence, negotiations, advocacy and ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements.
- Contribute to a growing and highly regarded Social Welfare team by maintaining accurate case management, staying up to date with legal developments and assisting with supervision and administrative processes where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive with a minimum of one year experience in Court of Protection (welfare) law, including experience acting for “P” via litigation friends or family members in proceedings.
- Knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS, with desirable experience in privately funded work.
- Excellent written, oral and telephone communication skills.
