An established and highly respected engineering manufacturer based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that specialises in bespoke stainless‑steel fabrication, structural metalwork, and precision engineering projects for commercial and industrial sectors.
The Role
This is a hands‑on fabrication position where you will be involved in projects from start to finish. The company operates a “one person, one job” approach, allowing engineers to take ownership of their work throughout the manufacturing process.
Typical duties include:
- MIG and TIG welding
- Stainless steel vessel fabrication
- Sheet metal and plate work
- Stainless steel pipework fabrication
- Structural steel fabrication including:
- Platforms
- Frames
- Walkways
- Staircases
- Occasional machine work
- Rare site installation work when required
Candidate Requirements
- Around 8 years’ hands‑on fabrication and welding experience
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
- Experience working with stainless steel
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
- Willingness to undertake occasional site work

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
