As a Ranger, you’re a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, and you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the nation’s beloved countryside and coast in good shape, for wildlife and for people.
Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays, evenings, and be on call is required.
What it’s like to work here
You’ll be based in the North Warwickshire Portfolio and cover Baddesley Clinton, Charlecote, and Packwood. You will report to the Lead Ranger and collaborate with Area Rangers and Assistant Rangers at each site. A broad, site‑wide presence across all portfolio locations is expected.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings, and machinery, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage visitors to appreciate the area. Your role includes ensuring conservation work and outdoor experiences meet the highest standards and building relationships within the local community to represent the Trust’s work.
Who we’re looking for
- Practically experienced in conservation work, protecting and improving habitats and landscapes
- Comfortable speaking to diverse audiences about the work and its importance
- Hard‑working and eager to learn
- Capable of working safely with risk assessments and following guidelines
- Experienced in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors
- Ability to use machinery and equipment, holding relevant certificates
- Full UK driving licence holder
