Levitt Mill & Barn is looking to recruit a Female Nights Support Worker to join the team.

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Hours: Full-Time. 30-40 hours per week

Shifts: 10 PM – 8 AM – Weekend work will be included

Levitt Mill & Barn is located on the outskirts of the small town of Maltby, close to Rotherham. It offers residential support for 11 people who have a learning disability and/or are autistic. The setting is a semi‑rural listed building in a woodland environment beside a small stream. Our team is dedicated to supporting the people we care for so they can live as independently as possible by developing their daily living and social skills in a safe and homely environment.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents’ wellbeing. As a Support Worker you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • Supporting with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, eating and personal hygiene
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bedclothes
  • Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assisting and supporting attendance at medical appointments
  • Observing, monitoring and recording physical and emotional well‑being, and quickly reporting any changes to senior staff
  • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Empathy, understanding and patience

  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
  • Competent in verbal and written English
  • A healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential
