Job Summary

Bincombe Valley Primary School is looking to appoint a Janitor to join our dedicated and supportive site team on a permanent basis.

Role Details

Grade: 3, SCP 3-4 (Pay award pending)Hours: 10 hours per week (additional hours may be available)Start Date: June / July 2026Contract: Permanent (Salaried, 52 weeks per year)

Duties

  • Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the school grounds, particularly outdoor areas.
  • Supporting cleaning duties as required.
  • Being responsible for the security of the school premises in the absence of the Site Manager, acting as a key holder.

Candidate Requirements

  • Be enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about their role.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Have some DIY / handyman experience.
  • Have a good understanding of general health and safety.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • In‑house training, including Healthy and Safety, will be provided where necessary.
