Head of Food & Beverage – Hale Country Club & Spa
Full-time – 40 hours per week, located in the heart of Cheshire.
We are recruiting for a Head of Food & Beverage to join Hale Country Club & Spa, a private members’ destination dedicated to elevated well‑being, offering fitness, luxury and community. Members and guests enjoy chef‑led, nutritionally considered menus within vibrant social spaces.
In this senior operational leadership role you will work closely with the General Manager, overseeing the complete F&B operation across the club and spa to ensure exceptional service standards, operational excellence, strong commercial performance and an outstanding guest and member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the entire Food & Beverage operation across all outlets.
- Work closely with the General Manager to deliver operational excellence and commercial performance.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and guest experience standards at all times.
- Drive smooth day‑to‑day operations, ensuring consistency across all service periods.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop the F&B management and wider operational teams.
- Manage staffing levels, rota planning, labour controls, and team performance.
- Take ownership of departmental budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
- Maintain strong stock management and inventory control procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and proactively.
- Ensure all health & safety, food hygiene, licensing, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures and service standards.
- Support the delivery of events, member experiences, and business initiatives across the club and spa.
- Lead by example with a hands‑on management style and visible presence across the operation.
Role Requirements
- Previous senior Food & Beverage leadership experience within a premium hospitality environment.
- Strong operational and commercial acumen.
- Experience managing large teams within fast‑paced hospitality operations.
- Proven ability to drive service standards and operational performance.
- Strong financial understanding including budgeting, forecasting, labour control, and stock management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Passionate about luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and solutions‑focused.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards.
