Job Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Estimators to develop first‑principles estimates for the Civil Works Program, ensuring every pound is accounted for.
• Review drawings and specifications to create costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment, helping to shape the future of the project.
• Learn how to assess design options and value solutions, ensuring the project is both cost‑effective and high‑quality.
• Use industry‑leading software such as Candy Estimating Software and RIB Cost X to develop pricing and bills of quantities.
• Collaborate with project teams and the supply chain to understand methodologies and ensure estimates are realistic and achievable.
• Support presentations and negotiations, learning how to justify pricing to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Track changes to estimates and budgets as the project evolves, gaining hands‑on experience in project management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Excel or similar software (e.g., through school, college or personal projects).
• An interest in construction, engineering or project management.
• Mobile and flexible, with the ability to adapt to the demands of a large-scale project.
• Evidence of right to work in the UK.
