Job Title: Night Support Worker
Location: Eskdale Residential Home, Longtown
Salary: £13.69 to £13.90 per hour
Hours: 19 Hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
As a Support Worker (Care Assistant) you will have the opportunity to know individuals individually and support their well‑being through physical and emotional care. You may assist with medication, provide personal care and encourage residents to achieve or maintain independence.
We are looking to help older adults live the life they choose, supporting them to stay active and healthy by encouraging good nutrition, promoting fitness and mobility, and supporting emotional wellness.
This role is an opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, medication assistance and support to residents.
- Encourage good nutrition, fitness and mobility.
- Support emotional wellbeing.
- Work nights 9:30pm – 7:30am and alternate weekends as required.
- Adhere to CQC standards and care plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant experience working with older adults or people with dementia.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of working 7 days a year, including bank holidays.
- Enhanced DBS check with Adults Barred List check (required).
