About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting childrens development.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
