We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to play a key role in leading a team of professional housekeeping staff. You will ensure that our guest bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Who will predominantly work Peter Scott House which has 37 bedrooms and also support in the main hotel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily worksheets for the housekeeping team in line with the rota, ensuring rooms are correctly allocated and prioritised as needed.
- Supervise Housekeeping Assistants, Public Area Cleaners, and Linen Porters, taking proactive action to maintain the hotel’s high standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms to ensure cleanliness, check furnishings and equipment, and address any issues promptly.
- Respond to guest requests and special requirements to consistently exceed expectations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of rotas, payroll, overtime, extra payments, absences, and holidays.
- Monitor staffing levels daily and weekly to ensure the team is adequately resourced.
- Ensure all vacant and occupied rooms meet the hotel’s standards of presentation and cleanliness.
About you
You will have previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor, ideally within a hotel environment. Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective, collaborative relationships across all levels of staff. Most importantly, you will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to putting the guest at the heart of everything you do.
