A Secondary School in Tower Hamlets is searching for a Learning Support Assistant to join the team in September 2026. This is a full‑time position, supporting students to learn in an independent working environment.

Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will involve supporting students aged 11-19 in accessing a range of learning resources and information to aid their studies, as well as providing support to students with SEND.

Suitable candidates will have a strong academic background, ideally an undergraduate degree or higher, and a passion for education and high achievement.

• Full‑time (term‑time only)
• High‑achieving Secondary School
• Located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets
• Play a leading role in working alongside the families of identified students to support their progress and attainment
• Supervise and provide support for students, including those with identified needs, either in literacy or other subjects
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education / Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
• Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
• Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
• Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self‑esteem and independence
