We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our dynamic practice starting as a salaried GP undertaking the full remit of GMS contractual work. We practice from a new Health Centre in a pleasant large village between Mold and Wrexham, 10 miles from Chester and commuting distance to Liverpool and Manchester. Our list of patients is varied, from farmers to factory workers, commuters to stately homeowners.
Current list size of over 10,200.

Job responsibilities
The workload of the Surgery is shared jointly by the clinicians available on the day. The salaried GP is expected to take part in their share of clinical duties including the below list.

Clinical Duties Appointments, visits, dealing with queries from patients or other health care professionals.
Home Visits (if appropriate and agreed): These are shared amongst the GP team or the Specialist Practitioner present on the day, if patient appropriate.
Administration/Paperwork Arising both directly from own and Practice caseload (referrals, investigations, results). The Salaried GP is responsible for their own patient associated referrals, correspondence, administration and paperwork. They will be expected to take a share of practice general incoming clinical correspondence (scanned documents), repeat prescriptions, results and patient associated tasks for their registered list.
Clinical Read coding and medication reviews Opportunistic and Ad-Hoc accurate clinical read coding, using templates where available, to assist with Practice contractual compliance and monitoring. The Salaried GP is responsible for ensuring that they are familiar with the protocols and procedures surrounding the collection of data for Enhanced Services to ensure that the Practice is reimbursed accordingly. Opportunistic medication reviews and issue updates should be adjusted where possible/appropriate.
PET Meetings The Salaried GP will be expected to attend relevant Practice meetings when they occur within rostered hours (PET sessions rotate days where possible to accommodate attendance).
Audits All staff are expected to instigate and partake in the audit process including initiating and running cyclical audits to assist in providing quality of care for patients.
Personal CPD The Salaried GP is expected to keep up to date with all Practice Protocols and Policies associated with their job role. Professional CPD is expected to be maintained by the Salaried GP including safeguarding as part of the revalidation process. The Practice will support personal CPD through the Practice PET sessions, CPD allocation and study leave allowance.
Clinical Supervision & Colleague Education As a Senior Clinician, you will be expected to provide clinical supervision to non-GP HCP colleagues where appropriate. This may be in the case of individual clinical learning opportunities or in the supervision and guidance deemed appropriate in the course of supporting patient care. As a Teaching Practice the Partnership will expect you to help supervise our F1/F2 Doctors where appropriate and to take part in mentoring Student Placements where you have been allocated to do so.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration.
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent
- Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible for inclusion
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
Experience
- Working within Primary Care General Practice
