Warehouse Operative – Location: Glenrothes – Salary: Competitive, plus benefits – Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
At Sorba Freeze, our chilled packaging offers innovative and cost‑effective temperature‑controlled packaging solutions. With growth planned, an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operator has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the team based in Glenrothes. This is a hands‑on role that requires strong organisational and computer skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatching materials and resources in line with production needs, including pickup/pack and stock booking.
- Inventory management – monitor levels and communicate replenishment needs to avoid shortages or overages.
- Maintaining accurate records of material movements, resource utilisation and production activity, and generating performance reports.
- Problem solving – identify and address issues in the manufacturing process to keep production running smoothly.
- Ensuring safety and compliance, adhering to BRC processes and company policies.
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing and/or logistics.
- Valid forklift (counterbalance) licence.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in IT systems, including MS Office and shipping platforms.
- Pro‑active problem‑solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of H&S protocols.
