Relief Support Worker – St Austell

Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in St Austell.

Responsibilities

• Support with community and home activities including cooking, cleaning, shopping, appointments, leisure activities such as gym attendance and local amenities.
• Serve as a driver to transport staff and patients as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• Subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

• Shifts between 09:00 and 19:00/20:00 with rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance.

All our services provide 24‑hour care. Rotas are planned well in advance to allow employees to manage personal and social commitments.
