Location: Gateshead
Hours: Rotating shifts: 7am‑3pm / 3pm‑11pm / 11pm‑7am
Pay: £12.80 per hour

About the Company

The Role
As a Machine Operative, you will operate machinery, check finished products and ensure all goods meet quality standards before they are packed and sent out. Your duties include:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Quality checking products to ensure they meet required standards
- Identifying and reporting any defects or issues
- Packing finished goods in a fast‑paced production environment
- Lifting and handling stock as part of the production process
- Completing basic production paperwork
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting the wider team to meet production targets
Qualifications
- Experience working in a production, packing or manufacturing environment
- A good eye for detail and quality
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- The ability to lift and handle stock
- Flexibility to support business needs when required
