Pay

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from 13.28 an hour; this increases to 14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

Hours

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, and can also accommodate 12‑hour shifts if desired.

Responsibilities

• Help serve shoppers better every day.

• Deliver great service, greet customers with a smile, and offer a great shopping experience.
• Build rapport with customers, making them leave the store having experienced a great shopping trip.
• Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
• Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
• Be on time, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Legal Requirements

Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine and spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles.
