Hours
Alternate weeks: Mon–Fri 6am–2pm / Mon–Fri 2pm–10pm. 40 hours per week including a 30‑minute paid break. Additional overtime and standby opportunities available.
Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles.
- Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
- Maintain workshop inventory and keep the workshop clean and free of oil spills and dust.
- Collaborate with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs for vehicles.
- Record details of vehicles repaired or handled.
- Provide roadside repair services for emergency situations.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork, submit warranty claims or escalations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
- Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards.
- Current, full UK driving licence covering the relevant vehicle classes.
