Position: Structural Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £36,000 – £48,000
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural plans and specifications for various construction projects
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess the feasibility of proposed projects
- Analyze and calculate the structural integrity of existing and proposed structures
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and models
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that designs meet all requirements and specifications
- Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, and timelines
- Monitor and inspect construction sites to ensure that work is being carried out according to plans and specifications
- Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process
- Conduct structural tests and simulations to ensure the safety and stability of structures
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in structural engineering techniques and technologies
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of (insert number) years of experience in structural engineering
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficient in CAD software and other structural engineering tools
