Senior FPGA Engineer Role

Responsibilities

• Identify problems and take ownership as a proactive self-starter
• Strong focus on VHDL development on AMD Xilinx platforms (Vivado)
• DSP expertise
• Experience coding for on chip ARM cores
• Experience using external DDR
• Appreciation of wider system architecture, peripheral hardware and software
• Experience with multi-clock systems and GPS synchronization
• Clear leadership potential, with scope to lead the FPGA team based on performance

Qualifications

• Xilinx RFSoC and/or Software Defined Radio experience required
• 5+ yrs experience

Team & Structure

• Current team consists of two FPGA engineers
• One long-term contractor is nearing retirement – succession-planning and upgrade to capable team leader
• Role is onsite, five days per week
• Salary negotiable
