Clinical Specialist – Pelvic Health (Bank)

Huddersfield Private Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting for a Clinical Specialist – Pelvic Health to join their Physiotherapy Department. This is a bank role, working on an “as and when required” basis to supplement staffing during busy periods and cover staff absence.

Salary: Up to £30.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).

Duties

  • Undertake expert assessment and treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pre/postnatal conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, including assessment, biofeedback, manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation.
  • Act as the clinical lead for pelvic health physiotherapy, ensuring service quality, consistency and alignment with best practice.
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways, patient education materials and outcome measures.
  • Work closely with urogynaecologists, colorectal surgeons, obstetricians, continence nurses and allied health professionals.
  • Deliver specialist training, supervision and mentorship to physiotherapists, students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and confidential patient records in accordance with HCPC, CSP and organisational policies.
  • Engage in CPD and keep up‑to‑date knowledge in pelvic health research and practice.

Requirements

  • HCPC‑registered Physiotherapist.
  • Extensive post‑registration experience in women’s, men’s and pelvic health physiotherapy.
  • Recognised postgraduate training in pelvic health or continence physiotherapy.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment skills.
  • Experience in service development, teaching or supervision.
