Materials Assistant

Location: Kings Oak & Cavell Hospitals, Enfield.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full‑time.

Employment: Permanent.

Overview

We are looking for a Materials Assistant to join the Materials department. The role involves day‑to‑day operations, ensuring stock availability, maintaining paperwork, and complying with training.

Responsibilities

• Act as an active member of the Materials Department, involved in day‑to‑day running of the department.
• Provide an effective and high‑quality materials management service to all internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishing pre‑approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in PC use including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Up to £25,600.00, depending on level of experience, training and qualification.
