Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Associate Heritage Consultant to join our established Archaeology & Heritage team. Operating across the UK, our team supports projects ranging from individual residential developments to large-scale infrastructure and EIA schemes, delivering high-quality advice across the planning lifecycle.
With offices across the UK and flexible hybrid working, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high-profile projects across sectors including the built environment, regeneration and renewable energy.
The Role
- Leading heritage input on projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery
- Preparing high-quality technical reports (heritage statements, impact assessments and EIA chapters)
- Providing strategic advice to clients, architects and internal teams
- Managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships
- Supporting business development, including proposals and networking
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues

About You
We are looking for someone with clear experience delivering UK heritage consultancy projects and a strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation relating to heritage, as well as:
- Ability to assess heritage significance and impacts of development
- Experience preparing technical reports and advising stakeholders
- Project management and commercial awareness
- Membership of CIfA (Associate or working towards full membership)
- Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) and full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Full MCIfA and/or membership of IHBC
- Experience in built heritage projects such as listed buildings or conservation planning
