Job Description:

Optime Group are recruiting for Warehouse Operative Trainer / Team Leader to join a well‑respected and successful client on Bath Road.

Please note: Due to additional security checks required for this role, successful applicants must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.

What’s on offer:

  • Rate of Pay: £13.20 per hour.
  • Shifts available: 06:00‑14:00 / 07:00‑15:00 / 06:00‑18:00 (You must be flexible with the hours you work)
  • Shift Pattern: Rotational – Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday (This may be subject to change)
  • Weekly Pay: every Friday
  • Full training provided – 3 weeks
  • Temp to Perm opportunity (performance‑based)

Key Duties:

The Warehouse Operative Trainer / Team Leader plays a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality training, driving operational excellence, and leading a team within a secure HMPPS environment.

  • Deliver induction training for new starters
  • Conduct Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and refresher sessions
  • Provide ongoing operational training across departments
  • Coaching and supporting staff to improve performance and service quality
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Lead team and support daily operational activities
  • Monitor compliance, performance, and training records
  • Support operational tasks when required
  • Complete a 3‑week training course before officially starting the role

Shifts:

The airport operates 7 days per week and candidates will be working 5 days out of 7. Rotational – Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. Fully flexible for days and hours.

Example shift hours:

  • 06:00‑14:00
  • 07:00‑15:00
  • 06:00‑18:00

Requirements:

  • 5 years of working experience in the UK (compulsory)
  • Valid UK driving licence (compulsory)
  • Strong training delivery and presentation skills
  • Previous leadership or team‑leading experience
  • Good understanding of SSOW, compliance, and operational processes
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities
  • Full computer knowledge (compulsory)
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts
  • Willingness to support overtime during peak operational periods
  • Successful candidates required to complete a basic criminal record check following the interview in line with CAA requirements.

As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in line with CAA regulations. Checks include 5‑year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), and valid Right to Work.
