Have you ever thought about fostering but been turned away because you don’t have enough space in your home?
HOME is a brand new not-for-profit fostering agency based in Salford with a bold mission to do things differently: remove one of the biggest barriers to people becoming foster carers by providing access to suitable, large houses with sufficient bedroom space.
What We Offer
We provide a wide and comprehensive support offer bespoke to each carer and the children that they look after. Our generous financial package includes allowances for each child, a competitive professional fee for the carer, a grant to help you secure and move into a new home and support with rent for as long as you foster with HOME.
Training, practical help with transport, a dedicated supervising social worker, 24/7 telephone support, regular social events and peer support sessions are also part of the package.
Why Join HOME?
We are recruiting across all 10 Greater Manchester authorities, looking for foster carers who can provide more than good care: time, patience, understanding, perseverance, a sense of fun and humour.
Our first intake is limited to six households who will be the first in the UK to be supported into new accommodation as part of their fostering journey.
What We Look For
- Foster carers who can offer time, patience, understanding, perseverance and a sense of fun and humour.
- No special qualifications required, but a good understanding of children and their needs is helpful.
- Experience through work, family, friends or parenthood is welcome.
