Assistant Manager – Environmental Services (Nights)

We are looking for a driven, confident, and experienced assistant manager to take charge of our night environmental services operation, leading high‑performing cleaning and waste teams across one of the UK’s busiest retail and leisure destinations. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and motivating Environmental Services teams across cleaning and waste operations
- Driving exceptional standards in line with Service Level Agreements
- Managing staffing levels, resources, equipment and shift planning
- Carrying out audits, inspections and compliance checks
- Coaching and developing Team Leaders and Operatives to achieve their best
- Creating a positive, high‑performing and accountable team culture
- Ensuring Health & Safety and environmental standards are always met
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, retailers and internal teams
- Supporting incident management and stepping in as Duty Manager when required

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous leadership experience within environmental services, cleaning, waste or facilities management
- Strong people management and team development skills
- Ability to motivate teams and drive performance standards
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Experience working within fast‑paced operational environments
- Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
