Title: Experienced Nuclear Structural Integrity Engineer – Asset Integrity
Salary range: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Bristol, Glasgow, Burton on Trent, Gloucester, Leatherhead, Manchester, Plymouth
Working pattern: Flexible hybrid; split between office and remote.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural integrity work within the nuclear sector including finite element analysis, design code assessments, fatigue, fracture, and fitness-for-service.
- Plan and manage projects; hold client relationships; deliver on client requirements.
- Work closely with technical group, wider business and project delivery teams.
- Support development and mentoring of junior engineers and contribute to future capabilities.
- Travel and support client site visits and plant walk‑downs as required.
Qualifications
- A degree in engineering or equivalent; MEng, MSc or PhD desirable.
- Technical knowledge in the mechanical / structural engineering domain.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (Abaqus, Ansys or LS Dyna).
- Experience with design codes and standards (ASME III, ASME VIII, API 579, BS 7608, BS 7910, PD 5500, BS EN 13445, BS EN 13480).
- Experience with fracture mechanics and the R6 assessment procedure.
- Knowledge of high temperature assessment to R5 advantageous.
- Experience in a technical consultancy environment, business development, client relationships, or project management is advantageous but not essential.
- Pre‑employment screening and UK National Security Vetting clearance required.
