Role Description
The UK-Romanian AI Mentor is a volunteer position designed to support individuals on their AI learning journey. This hybrid role has flexibility for remote work. Responsibilities include mentoring individuals or groups, designing and leading workshops, sharing valuable insights in artificial intelligence, and providing guidance toward achieving professional or educational goals in the AI field. The ideal candidate will also facilitate discussions to inspire innovation and foster skill development.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with the Romanian language, as the target mentees will be Romanian students.
- Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, including knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision
- Strong mentoring, teaching, and coaching skills, with a focus on collaboration and team building
- Experience designing and delivering educational materials, presentations, or workshops
- Effective communication skills in both English and Romanian, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Passion for fostering community growth and sharing expertise in AI
- Ability to work in both in-person and remote settings
- A background in AI research or applications is a plus
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and their implications for diverse communities is highly valued
