Job Description

As a Learning Disability Support Worker, your role is both diverse and incredibly fulfilling. You’ll be there for our clients, helping them with every aspect of their daily lives, from personal care to shopping, managing bills, attending medical appointments, exploring the local community, and much more. No two shifts are alike, which means each day brings new opportunities to learn and make a difference. You’ll develop deep connections with our customers, becoming a reliable, kind-hearted, and compassionate Support Worker who actively contributes to their growth and daily well-being.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients.
  • Assist with shopping, bill management, and medical appointments.
  • Explore and engage in local community activities.
  • Maintain client dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Build rapport and maintain relationships with clients and families.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is advantageous; training will be provided for new applicants.
  • Previous experience in care or patient care is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
  • Valid driver’s licence is advantageous.
  • Background in nursing or childcare beneficial but not essential.
  • Compassionate nature with desire to help others achieve quality of life.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay

£12.21-£12.55 per hour

Expected hours: 25–40 per week
