Working with us means being part of a team that is harnessing technology and creativity to disrupt a traditional industry.We are not your average workplace.Ocean Infinity is seeking a HSEQ Operational Advisor to provide health, safety, environment and quality support across Ocean Infinity’s Data Services operations — a portfolio of marine and offshore campaigns involving crewed and uncrewed vessels, subsea survey, and remote operations.The role is focused on execution‑phase safety: ensuring that the right controls are in place before, during and after live marine operations, and that risk is actively managed where people, vessels, assets and the environment are exposed.What you will do:Execution-Phase SafetyProvide HSEQ support during execution, mobilisation, and demobilisation of Data Services projects — including offshore campaigns, vessel operations, and geophysical/geotechnical operations.Ensure consistent application of established controls across assigned projects.Manage live risk during projects — identifying emerging hazards, supporting real-time decision-making, and escalating where required.Support project and risk management, assurance, and competence frameworks at project level.Provide on the ground HSEQ leadership and visibility during high risk phases — including complex mobilisations, first-of-kind deployments, and multi-vessel or multi-site campaigns.Mobilisation & ReadinessConduct vessel visits and site inspections to ensure chartered and owned assets comply with Ocean Infinity HSEQ standards.Support readiness and mobilisation reviews — ensuring projects meet defined criteria before work begins.Verify that mandatory always-on controls are in place and triggered controls are applied where complexity or risk warrants them.Work with project managers, marine coordinators, and vessel masters to ensure HSEQ expectations are clear and practical before operations commence.Support the HSEQ Data Services Lead with HSEQ input into tender and bid processes when requested — drawing on operational experience from previous campaigns.Risk Assessment, Incident Management & LearningLead or support hazard identification, risk assessment, and HSEQ planning for assigned marine and offshore operations.Conduct incident investigations, near-miss analyses, and root cause assessments — ensuring lessons are captured, shared, integrated into future planning, and translated into practical improvements.Ensure incident reporting is aligned with both internal and client requirements.Documentation & ReportingMaintain and update HSEQ documentation for assigned projects — using the standard control/evidence library where applicable to avoid recreating documents.Support tender processes with HSEQ input as required (aligned to the complexity-based coverage model).Perform and contribute to weekly and monthly HSEQ reporting.Flag systemic issues to the HSEQ Data Services Lead for escalation into governance.Continuous ImprovementContribute to the development and refinement of the complexity-based coverage model — providing operational feedback on what works at project level.Support automation pilots for high-volume HSEQ artefacts — testing and validating outputs.Participate in signal-led dashboard development by ensuring data quality from project-level inputs.Who you are:Experience in HSEQ advisory roles within marine, offshore, subsea, or similar operational environments.Practical understanding of control of work, permit-to-work, mobilisation, and offshore safety frameworks.Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.Familiarity with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).NEBOSH IGC Certificate – mandatory (client requirement).Attained or working towards Tech/GardIOSH membership is desirable.Comfortable working flexibly across multiple projects — stepping in and out based on risk rather than maintaining constant presence.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with project managers, marine crews, and operational teams.Willingness to travel to project sites, vessels, and offshore locations as required.Experience with geophysical, geotechnical, USV, ROC operations is an advantage.Salary for this position: Up to £55,000 per annumSalary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades.
