This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Aseptic Services Unit at the Royal United Hospitals Bath and take an active role in the day‑to‑day organisation of our Aseptic Services, including Chemotherapy and Radiopharmacy.
You’ll work closely with pharmacists, chemotherapy nurses, and the nuclear medicine team to schedule daily workloads and support the safe preparation of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, and radiopharmaceuticals – all in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
Teamwork is essential, as you’ll supervise, motivate, and guide staff to deliver a consistently high‑quality service. You’ll be central to maintaining efficient workflows while responding to clinical priorities and urgent demands.

Main duties of the job
- Coordinating and scheduling the daily programme of work within the ASU
- Supervising and actively participating in aseptic dispensing
- Ensuring all activities meet required quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Liaising with pharmacists, nurses, and nuclear medicine colleagues
- Supporting and contributing to staff training and development
- Assisting the Lead Aseptic Services Technician with operational leadership
Qualifications and Training – Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Pre and in process checking or willing to undertake
Qualifications and Training – Desirable Criteria
- Training in aseptic services e.g. TSET, PTQA, APDM
Knowledge & Experience – Essential Criteria
- Experience of working as a pharmacy technician in aseptic services
- Knowledge of GMP
- Principles of Aseptic dispensing
- Knowledge of the principles of Quality Assurance
Knowledge & Experience – Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of working in an unlicensed unit
- Radiopharmacy experience
