Receptionist

Are you passionate about making pets a priority? At CVS we are looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join us at Arbury Road Vets, 32 Arbury Road, Cambridge CB4 2JE. This is a 9‑month maternity contract of 40 hours over 4/5 days with either 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts, including a 1:3 Saturday morning.

About the role

Day‑to‑day duties of the role will include:

• Answering phones and booking appointments
• Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
• Registering new clients
• Completing insurance forms
• Dispensing medications
• Taking payments
• Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

Qualifications

• Previous Receptionist experience is essential; veterinary experience is a plus
• Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
• Excellent communicator with strong empathy
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
