Catholic Certificate in ReligiousStudies (CCRS) or equivalent
Evidence of ongoing professionaldevelopment, including RE‑specific CPD or diocesan training (e.g. Diocese ofLeeds RE forums, Catholic curriculum development)
Additional theological orRE‑specific study (e.g. PGCert, Masters modules, Diocesan RE trainingprogrammes)
EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING
Ability to teach RE to Key Stage 2/3
Ability to teach RE to Key Stage 4
Ability to teach PSHE to Key Stage2 and/or Key Stage 3 level
Ability to plan consistently goodlessons, manage time and keep track of pupil progress
Training or CPD relating to SEN,inclusive practice or multi‑pathway accreditation (Units of Accreditation,GCSE Short Course)
Experience of teaching pupils with SEND
Experience of using strategies to managechallenging behaviours and creating a positive and productive learningenvironment
Experience of adapting and adjusting teachingmethods to meet diverse needs of learners
Demonstrate a drive for creating an inclusive,nurturing learning environment and improving outcomes for students with SEND
Commitment to professional development andstaying updated with best practice in education
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Ability to proactivelyproblem-solve with innovative approaches
An understanding of Catholicteachings, values and traditions
Ability and confidence with a widerange of IT tools to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, recording andreporting progress
