Buying Manager (Food/FMCG)

You’ll be joining a well‑established organisation operating within a regulated environment, where procurement plays a central role in achieving value for money, compliance, and strategic impact. You’ll work within a collaborative finance function that promotes agile working and cross‑functional engagement. As Procurement Manager, you will lead on strategic sourcing activity across a defined portfolio of supply markets. Your role will involve managing the commercial lifecycle of contracts. You’ll also act as a subject-matter expert, developing supply chain strategies, maintaining strong market insight, and supporting internal stakeholders to embed best practice. You’ll bring significant experience in procurement and contract management, ideally supported by a degree and/or a professional qualification such as CIPS (or working towards it). You’ll demonstrate strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain governance, and experience managing major contracts. A background spanning both public and private sector procurement is desirable, alongside a proven ability to deliver results in a complex, multi-faceted environment. Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, commercial processes, and emerging best practice will be key to your success. You’ll take on a strategically important role where you can directly influence commercial outcomes and drive meaningful value across the organisation.
