Job Description:

Learning Support Assistant – SEN

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join the secondary phase of The Beaulieu Park School on a fixed‑term contract. The role involves supporting children with additional needs in a general classroom capacity and, in conjunction with another LSA colleague, providing high quality support including intimate care for a specific student.

Key Responsibilities

  • A caring, patient, flexible and inclusive approach, building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Providing intimate and personal care sensitively, safely and professionally.
  • Good communication skills and effective collaboration with teachers, families and external professionals.
  • Team‑focused attitude, supporting colleagues and participating in wider school life.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs (SEN).
  • Experience in providing personal and intimate care is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work across multidisciplinary teams.

Contract Details

  • Contract type: Fixed Term to July 2030
  • Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm (35 hours per week), 39 weeks per year (Term time plus 5 Inset Days)
  • Salary: Scale 4 Points 8‑9. Actual Salary £21,753‑£22,102 per annum (pay award pending)
  • Closing date: 11 June 2026 at Midday
