Mechanical Design Draughtsperson

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsperson to support the design and development of a diving system. The successful candidate will join the project at its inception and work closely with a dedicated on-site project team, contributing to the full system design of an existing technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
• Create and maintain system schematics using AutoCAD
• Model mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies for a deep saturation diving system
• Contribute to the full system design, from individual components (e.g. pressure vessels) through to complete system layouts
• Ensure designs align with existing technology, project requirements, and applicable standards
• Collaborate closely with engineers and the wider project team on-site throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsperson
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling) and AutoCAD (schematics)
• Essential experience in full system design, not just component-level drafting
• Experience designing saturation systems or subsea systems is highly desirable
• Experience in related industries such as Oil & Gas or Aerospace will also be considered
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Aberdeen
• Must be BPSS clearable
