Unique Snacks is a 104‑year‑old family‑owned business, located across from the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, best known for its Splits, Shells, and Sourdough ring pretzels. In 2016 the company was named “Snack Producer of the Year” by Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery.

Work Schedule

• 2nd Shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). Typical work week is Monday – Friday, with overtime/weekend work required during extended production runs.
• 3rd Shift (11 pm – 7:30 am). Typical work week is Monday – Friday, with overtime/weekend work required during extended production runs.

SUMMARY

The maintenance mechanic is responsible for the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and be able to promptly troubleshoot to perform emergency repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10‑hour OSHA
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS utilization
• Strong knowledge of electro‑mechanical systems
• NFPA 70E – Arc Flash Training
• Ability to read and interpret industrial facility equipment drawings and mechanical/electrical schematics
• Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency
• Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Physical strength and dexterity to perform duties, including heavy work with periodic exposure to inclement weather, hot and humid environments
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
• Ability to work on‑call (rotation), overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb
