Description

Dixons Farm is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role. In order to fully support our residents, we are looking for individuals with a full UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years. Dixon’s Farm is located in Bamber Bridge, in Preston. It offers residential support for six adult males and females, including people on the autism spectrum, and individuals with a learning disability.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you’re assisting with day‑to‑day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Provide reliable, friendly, and compassionate support to help service users achieve daily goals, including personal care.
  • Assist with and encourage participation in in‑house activities and hobbies to promote engagement and well‑being.
  • Stay attentive to service users’ needs and motivate them to reach their full potential.
  • Demonstrate resilience and help manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
