This programme runs over a 15‑month timeframe, with a learning period of 12 months and an end‑point assessment (EPA) of up to 3 months.

The Adult Care Workerapprenticeship is a greatopportunity for learnersto develop their skills andknowledge to help adultswith care and supportneeds to achieve theirpersonal goals and live asindependently and safely aspossible, allowing them tohave control and choice intheir lives. Working in care makes a positive differenceto someone’s life when theyare faced with physical,practical, social, emotionalor intellectual challenges.Adult Care Workers work inresidential or nursing homes,domiciliary care,day centres, or a person’s own home.

  • New entrants to the healthcare sector, depending on the job role
  • Individuals working in the Care sector

Training to be provided

Included in the programme:

  • BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care (England)
  • Care Certificate
  • Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2

Apprentices who complete the Care Worker programme aim to progress to senior roles, including Lead Adult Care Workers, Key Workers, and Mental Health Outreach Workers.
