As an Apprentice Service Engineer you will be partnered withan experienced Medical Service Engineer

Both roles will be homebased and will travel throughout Cambridge and surrounding areas, aswell as other parts of the UK and will involve spending time awayfrom home regularly. THE ROLE: As anApprentice Service Engineer / Medical Service Engineer you will beresponsible for working on a range of medical equipment includingSteam Sterilizers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope WasherDisinfectors, and on Steam Generation plants.

Be tasked with performingtcommissioning, validation, planned preventative maintenance andtreactive breakdown and repair activities to products located attcustomers’ premisest

Be home based and you will traveltthroughout the UK; this post involves spending time away from hometregularly

THE CANDIDATE:The successful Medical Service Engineer must be qualified byexperience or have a minimum of an ONC or City and Guildsqualification in a relevant Engineering subject, and must havesignificant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor,pumps or other relevant industries. You must have completed a timeserved apprenticeship or have relevant working experience in asimilar role and will ideally have experience of working within anISO registered environment. It is essential you have valid UK drivinglicence, good IT skills, and excellent communication skills and havethe self-motivation and the ability to work as an individual or aspart of a team. Although not essential candidates with electricalexperience would be highly desirable.

If you’re applyingfor the Apprentice Service Engineer position, you will ideally have aGrade C / 4 or above GCSE (or equivalent qualification) and will needto be resourceful, show initiative, good analytical skills and thatyou can deal with multiple tasks and work under pressure. You shouldbe someone who has an inquisitive mind and who has a natural passionfor engineering and any hands on experience, for example in re wiringor equipment, stripping of cars / engines or other engineeringprincipals would be welcomed. You must be someone who is reliable,punctual, is IT literate and is committed to attending college orappropriate training establishments as required. Candidates must alsobe able to work individually as well as part of team and will ideallyhave a valid UK Driving Licence, but is not essential. xwzovoh
