Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and develop confidence across a range of year groups.
Duties as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and positive learning habits
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, when required
- Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation
- Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
- Contribute to wider school routines during longer-term placements
Ideal Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a school or education setting
- Confident working across different year groups and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, supportive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Adaptable, reliable, and proactive in different school environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
