About our client

FutureGen Recruitment is partnering with an established planning practice working closely with a leading architectural studio in Truro. The team delivers high-quality planning advice across a diverse project mix and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with clear scope to grow.

The role

You’ll drive planning activity across live projects, shaping strategy and taking ownership of submissions from inception to decision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications, including supporting documents.
• Draft Planning Statements, Appeal Statements, third-party objections and planning appraisals.
• Lead consultations with the Local Planning Authority and other stakeholders.
• Deliver confident public and client presentations.
• Attend local networking events and proactively develop new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with architects and wider consultants, providing clear, pragmatic planning advice.

About you

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong report-writing.
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience in planning consultancy or a related environment; high-potential graduates also considered.
• MRTPI preferred (or working towards), but not essential.
• Commercially aware, well-organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
