Overview
We’re looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to support two of our Directors at Affinity Water. This is far more than a traditional PA role—it’s a trusted partnership position where you’ll play a critical role in helping senior leaders operate at their best. If you are highly organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this is your opportunity to become a key connector across the business and influence how we deliver for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted gateway to two busy Directors, bringing structure, foresight, and efficiency to everyday work.
- Own complex diaries with full autonomy—proactively managing priorities, resolving conflicts, and ensuring time is spent where it matters most.
- Anticipate scheduling pressures and solve challenges before they arise.
- Manage and triage inboxes, ensuring urgent items are escalated and nothing slips through the cracks.
- Prepare Directors for success, providing high‑quality briefings ahead of meetings.
- Coordinate key meetings, including preparing packs, setting agendas, capturing minutes, and tracking actions through to completion.
- Plan and deliver leadership events, including off‑sites and team meetings.
- Act as a key liaison between Directors and senior leadership teams—keeping communication clear, timely, and effective.
- Support business operations by processing expenses, raising purchase orders, and managing invoices.
- Get involved in projects where needed—bringing flexibility and a “can‑do” mindset.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting multiple senior leaders or Directors.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace.
- A proactive mindset—you anticipate needs and take action.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with purchasing systems or Oracle Fusion (full training provided).
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Benefits
- Salary up to £43,000, dependent on skills and experience.
- Hybrid role—minimum three days working from our Head Office in Hatfield.
- Learning and development opportunities, including mentoring and a range of formal courses and open learning resources.
- Entry into the company annual bonus scheme.
- Annual leave from 26–30 days, rising with length of service, and the option to purchase up to five extra days.
- A “Celebration Day” in addition to public holidays, which employees can use to celebrate a religious festival or other occasion that is important to them.
- A generous double‑match pension scheme that doubles the contributions you make (company contribution capped at 12%).
- Family benefits including enhanced maternity, adoption, paternity, shared parental leave, fertility support leave and up to five full or ten half days of paid carers leave.
- Menopause policy and reasonable adjustment policy to help everyone perform at their best.
- Access to our Wellbeing Centre with support for looking after your physical and mental health.
- Discounts at a range of retail outlets and on dental and medical insurance through our Tap4Perks scheme.
- Up to four Affinity days a year to volunteer in the community.
- Life Assurance.
