Housing Support Worker
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary / Immediate Start
About the Role: You will be working with a small caseload of 8-9 clients, providing tailored support to help individuals maintain their tenancies and move towards independent living. Each client will receive approximately 5 hours of support per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 support including welfare checks and regular key working sessions
- Support clients with appointments, housing-related issues, and tenancy sustainment
- Assist with benefits, budgeting, and accessing relevant services
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to support plans
- Work closely with external agencies to ensure holistic support
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures
Working Pattern
- Rolling rota
- Lone working required
Requirements
- Experience working with homeless or vulnerable clients within housing, charity, or support settings
- Strong understanding of tenancy sustainment and support planning
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced Child + Adult DBS (ideally with update service)
- Driver not required
