Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Tanker Technician to join our operational team. This role involves vacuum tanker operations, tank cleaning, fuel transfers, and specialist support works across a wide range of commercial, industrial, marine, and defence‑related environments nationwide. Working as part of a skilled operational team, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of projects in challenging and varied environments. This is a physically demanding yet rewarding position, ideally suited to someone practical, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in hands‑on operational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum tankers and associated pumping equipment safely and efficiently across commercial, industrial, marine and defence sites
- Carry out tank cleaning, fuel transfers, pumping, waste removal and industrial cleaning operations
- Undertake high‑pressure water jetting and specialist cleaning activities when required
- Support the maintenance, servicing and cleaning of fuel tanks and associated systems
- Work within confined spaces in line with company procedures and safety regulations as required
- Complete all operational documentation accurately, including waste transfer notes, job sheets and customer sign‑off paperwork
- Ensure all work areas, vehicles, tankers and equipment are maintained to high housekeeping standards
- Follow all PPE, Health & Safety, environmental and company compliance procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and internal operational teams
- HGV Licence
- Experience operating vacuum tankers and pumping systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to travel and work away from home when required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, hardworking and safety focused
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
- ADR and CPC qualifications
- Experience working in confined spaces (training can be provided)
- High‑pressure water jetting experience
- Experience within fuel, industrial, marine or environmental services industries
- CSCS, Confined Space or additional safety qualifications
- Previous experience supporting MOD or defence‑related projects (advantageous)
