Electrical Design Engineer – Hydrogen Test Facility & Test Rigs

Location: Filton, 60% onsite

Hours: 35 per week

Clearance: BPSS required before starting

Hourly Rate: £50 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Contract duration: until May 2027 with possible extension

Salary: GBP50 – GBP50 per hour

What you’ll be doing

• Develop architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems.
• Develop electrical component schematics.
• Specify instrumentation for a range of measurements (pressure, flow, voltage, current, etc.).
• Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems.

Requirements

• Experience with electrical design tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad).
• Design experience on industrial control systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and electrical systems.
• Understanding of testing principles.
• Experience with electrical architecture design.
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems.
• Knowledge of avionic data buses (A429, CAN, AFDX).
