We’re working with a specialist engineering business developing embedded systems used in environmental and industrial measurement applications.
They are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their R&D team, playing a key role in the design, integration and validation of complex embedded products.
This is a hands-on engineering position where you will work across firmware, electronics and mechanical disciplines to help define system requirements, develop architecture, and ensure robust integration of hardware and software components.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting system architecture and embedded product design
- Translating product needs into clear technical requirements
- Working closely with firmware, electronics and mechanical engineers
- Integrating hardware and software components into full systems
- Developing and executing test and validation plans
- Contributing to documentation and system-level design decisions
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in embedded systems or systems engineering
- Strong understanding of C / C++ development
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces and embedded architecture
- Exposure to electronics, PCB-level systems or microcontrollers
- Experience working across engineering teams in a product development environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
