Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits across the Hiscox Group in line with the Audit Plan.
- Deliver audits from initial scoping and planning through to reporting and follow‑up of actions.
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of several audits while supporting team members on others.
- Manage stakeholder and relationship interactions at all levels.
- Provide pragmatic recommendations to address issues and add value to the business.
- Contribute to Internal Audit’s planning, strategy and continued development.
- Lead the development and/or implementation of assigned aspects of non‑audit work and help build the team’s presence across the Group.
- Perform special projects and review work as requested.
- Assist the Head of Group Internal Audit and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified with professional accountancy, audit or a CISA qualification.
- Previous internal audit experience within insurance or broader financial services (external audit experience considered if exceptional).
- Self‑confident, assertive, capable of delivering without high levels of supervision.
- Ability to plan and organise end‑to‑end audits with minimal day‑to‑day supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong people and relationship building skills, including influencing and negotiating.
- Excellent audit judgement, innovative problem‑solving skills and resilience.
- Experience supervising and coaching team members is desirable.
- Commercial awareness.
